A note from our founder
Velène Design House began as a personal journey—a story of transformation and connection to home. In 2020, my husband and I dove into our first fixer-upper, learning that a home is not just four walls—it’s the foundation for everything that matters.

It’s where we laugh, cry, celebrate, and grow.
Where we’re free to feel most ourselves.

What began as a labor of love ignited something bigger. Through the process of transforming our home, I discovered not only a passion for design, but a deep appreciation for the way thoughtful interiors can support daily life. After a decade in fashion design, I transitioned into interiors with a clear intention: to create homes that serve the people who live in them—beautifully, intuitively, and with purpose.

Today, that same philosophy guides every project at Velène. Our work goes beyond aesthetics. It begins with understanding how you move through your days, what your routines look like, and the way you want to feel in your home. From there, we create spaces that are deeply personal, quietly luxurious, and designed to last.

My role as a designer extends far beyond choosing furniture or finishes. I collaborate closely with architects, builders, and trades to ensure every detail is executed with precision and care. It’s this partnership-driven approach, and the attention we give to craftsmanship, flow, and functionality, that shapes the elevated experience our clients come to us for.

Founder and Principal Designer
Janiece Lonvelin

Janiece brings a unique, authentic approach to interior design. With a background in fashion design, she has always been drawn to creating beautiful, functional spaces that truly feel like home. Her ability to connect deeply with clients—understanding their needs, dreams, and personalities—sets her apart in the design world.

Known for her balanced approach, Janiece is an expert at merging masculine and feminine elements and pairing modern with vintage, creating spaces that are both inviting and inspiring.

When she’s not designing, Janiece is likely to be exploring new destinations, finding inspiration in the world around her, or enjoying quality time with her family. For her, design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about building spaces that support everyday life.

Assistant Interior Designer
Jennie Figueroa

Jennie’s journey into interior design is rooted in her love for architecture, cultivated during her time in real estate as both an agent and photographer. It’s this foundation that inspired her shift to design. Jennie’s expertise spans project management, residential remodels, and property staging, and she brings a sharp eye for detail.

Whether it’s designing her own projects for fun on weekends or pivoting quickly to assist with any aspect of design, Jennie’s passion for creating thoughtful spaces is unwavering.

Outside of work, you’ll find Jennie enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in the view after a hike or exploring new destinations around the world. She also has a flair for style—always dressed to impress, both in and out of the studio.

Chief Executive Officer
Jordi Ribas

Jordi’s extensive experience in business spans over 15 years, covering multiple industries, continents, and disciplines. Hailing from Barcelona, Spain, he brings a unique perspective to the team, with a background that includes a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from UCLA—it was during his time working in LA after his MBA that he met his beautiful wife.

Before joining Velène Design, Jordi honed his expertise as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, leading high-level client engagement projects around the globe. He gained further experience in product marketing and business strategy working for international companies– which shapes his broad perspective. His deep understanding of business strategy, finance, and operations perfectly complement Janiece’s creative vision.

Outside the world of strategy and numbers, Jordi is an avid reader, constantly absorbing business books and self-improvement podcasts to refine his approach. A healthy eater and daily gym-goer, he balances his professional life with wellness.
