Our clients sought a French‑inspired kitchen that felt connected to their home’s tall, angled architecture. The existing space lacked light, storage, and flow, so they needed more daylight, upgraded appliances, and better use of vertical space, all without losing the cozy, welcoming feeling of a family kitchen.
Design Process & Solution
We retained the original footprint but reimagined every surface. Tall cabinetry creates balance and makes the most of high ceilings. A custom furniture‑grade cabinet doubles as a coffee station and storage, bringing warmth and utility. Unlacquered brass hardware and a tongue‑and‑groove ceiling evoke French country charm, while greige cabinetry and medium‑toned wood accents ground the space.
The star of the kitchen is the bold blue‑and‑white ceramic tile backsplash—its oversized pattern adds colour and personality, with a subtle nod to classic French design. Integrated appliances, a generous farmhouse sink, and a large window flood the space with natural light, making it both airy and inviting. Every detail, from the multi‑sized stone flooring to the carefully selected fixtures, is designed for longevity.
